10 Simple Ways to Pamper Your Spirit and Reduce Stress Dramatically
by www.Sedona.com

Your spirit will let you know when it is well nourished by the smile that never ceases to move from your lips. It will exude from your body like a sweet perfume in the way you feel so in-tune with nature, so connected with your purpose, and so at peace with every aspect of your life.

When you awaken in the morning and feel, simply, that all is right with the world, your spirit has been pampered.

So if you are currently feeling stressed, tired or blue, you are in the right place. Please make the items on the list that follow a new priority in your life, because we all deserve to feel pampered, and that includes your spirit too.

1. Seize the day. “The best way to pamper yourself body, mind and spirit is to stop rushing past this moment,” says Hale Dwoskin, CEO and director of training of Sedona Training Associates. “As you stop using this moment as a ‘something to resist or use for some other ends’ you can enjoy the moment as it is -- and this nurtures your true awareness of your true essence, which is always here now.”

2. Spend time in nature. Take a walk by a lake, gaze up at the sky, plant some tulips, and feed the birds.

3. Dance. Do it in your bedroom, at a club, with a partner or without.

4. Learn the process of letting go. When you listen to The Sedona Method, you will learn how to let go of the negative baggage you are carrying around. The more you do this, the more you will naturally feel at ease on an ongoing basis. Ultimately, as you use The Method you will gain all the pampering your body, mind and spirit need.

“Your natural presence of awareness that is always here now actually does not need any nurturing -- it is nurturing itself,” Dwoskin says. “What changes as you show up is that your body and mind feels more nurtured from the true source of all nurturing, which is right within you.”

5. Show your gratitude. If you want, keep a journal listing everything you’re thankful for.

6. Be kind to a stranger. And don’t expect anything in return.

7. Slow down. Adding on to #1, live in the moment and take in what is going on around you right now. Find the beauty and wonder that exist every day.

8. Look at the big picture. Whenever you are feeling stressed, let go of whatever is causing the stress, then remind yourself of what really matters to you.

9. Forgive quickly and love fully. Holding grudges only hurts you.

10. Read, often. No matter what genre you enjoy -- fiction, non-fiction, spiritual, self-help, biographies -- reading calms your mind by helping to take your mind off your own problems and allowing you to see different perspectives.
