Loving Your Body as It Is

Most of us are unhappy with our bodies, especially when we don’t feel well and we are projecting this unhappiness in the form of disapproval towards our bodies. Yet as you let go, you learn to love your body as it is. From that love, you can powerfully make positive changes in your health and well-being. The love itself is like a balm or salve for all that appears to ail you.

Release Your Story About Health and Well-Being

If it is not happening right now and you are talking about it to yourself or anyone else, you are describing what was or what might be, not what is. You are telling yourself and others a story which may or may not be true. We view whatever is apparently happening, including our symptoms, as proof that our story is real. We feel locked into our stories, and they become self-fulfilling prophecies. When you release your stories about health and well-being it opens a whole new way of being with your body.

Being Willing to Do What’s Necessary

Even when we know what is best for us, we can resist or ignore taking the actions that will bring us to greater well-being on every level. When we resist how our bodies feel or what they appear to be going through we often feel trapped and helpless. As you release resistance you find the body naturally doing what is needed with greater ease, joy, and fun. You may even enjoy exercising or eating more healthily without feeling like you are making a sacrifice. You can cooperate more easily with the body instead of running interference.

Letting Go of Wanting to Change What Is

The more we want to change the body, the more we feel locked into the very thing that we wish were different. As you let go of wanting to change the body as it is, you discover that you can change what needs to be changed and how to accept what is not changeable. This really helps you with your goals for health and well-being.

What If That’s Healing?

The body is not static. It is a living mechanism that is changing all the time. As part of these changes, even when we are healthy there can be uncomfortable sensations in the body. When our body feels disturbed, from within or without, these normal sensations can appear to get magnified which can cause our mind to imagine all sorts of unwanted outcomes. As you let go, you can be open at least to the possibility that the sensations in your body are signs of life and healing as opposed to signs of impending doom.

It is not about ignoring what you feel. It can be about looking for what is already working, finding the light that is often ignored, and supporting the life force or aliveness that is already and always present in every cell.

Anger and Fear

When we appear to have pain, discomfort, or any form of dis-ease in the body there is often a strong emotional component. We can feel angry at our bodies, at doctors or practitioners, at our parents, or even at our DNA. We also often fear what will happen, how we will feel, and what we will be able to do or not do because of the symptoms that we appear to be having. As you release these emotions there can be immediate relief on every level. You also may discover or uncover ways of supporting your body that you may not have ever anticipated.

This Seems like It Will Never End

Often when we are facing physical challenges of any kind, we start to measure how long they have been happening. Time can seem to slow down, and it can feel like we have been dealing with this apparent problem forever. As you let go, you can notice that when you are not trapped in the timeline of what is wrong, something opens. You discover that health and healing can, and do, happen out of time.

Using Releasing to Break Habits

We often feel like we are the victim of our habits, especially our habits related to food, substances, exercise, and care for our bodies. You can break any habit with ease when you use the power of releasing to dissolve inner motivators that cause you to do things you later regret, or not to do things you know are in your best interest.

Honoring What the Body Needs

The body is always taking care of itself and has its own innate intelligence that guides it towards solutions. As you let go and start truly listening to your body, you will find that it is already guiding you towards actions that can support it in being happily and fully alive. Solutions that have been missed can be rediscovered and there can be openness to ways of supporting yourself that you may never have imagined.

Opening to Aliveness

Even though the body can seem to be purely physical, it is energy. As you release and naturally open to the aliveness that is appearing as a solid body, you can uncover a well of limitless vigor and happiness that nurtures the body on every level.

Setting Clear Goals and Intentions

Just like everything in life and in releasing, when you have a clear goal or intention you can use it to focus your energy and action for good. Health goals can motivate you to action and support you in maintaining a positive attitude about your progress or apparent lack thereof. When you set clear goals, you can achieve what you want with your body and eliminate the inner obstacles to bringing them into reality.

Dissolving the Blocks to Action

When we set any goal, it is important to follow through with the right actions to accomplish them. Plus, when you get into any action even if it is not the best action, it brings up your inner obstacles to success so that you can let them go. As you release on actions, you can discover better ways to achieve your goals. You may even discover that things improve without the need for you as the doer.
